Currency management arrived: set a workspace default currency, maintain your own conversion rates, and converted values now roll up on Kanban cards, dashboard totals, and Excel exports. Alongside it, multi-user editing conflict protection. When the same document is open in Word and in the web app at once, VisibleThread now tracks document version identity, shows who’s actively editing, and blocks a save that isn’t based on the latest version, rather than letting one person’s work overwrite another’s.
Collaboration, built in
Comment straight from the paragraph you’re already looking at, @mention whoever needs to see it, and the thread stays logged against that line. Assign an opportunity, a proposal, or a contract to an owner, and once drafting starts, every section in the outline carries its own owner and status. A full activity log, searchable and exportable to CSV, shows who ran what, on every document, by every user, across BD, capture, proposals, and contracts.

Archiving an opportunity, proposal, or contract now asks for a reason, configured by your organization, a no-bid decision, for example, and preserved through unarchive and re-archive, so months later someone can still see why a pursuit was dropped. Add-in co-authoring was fixed, alongside the SharePoint co-authoring that already worked in browser Word. On the security side, encrypted SAML assertions were fixed, including RSA-OAEP under strict Java FIPS mode, relevant for any federal or DoD-adjacent SSO setup. Dozens of smaller fixes shipped alongside all of it, across the Word add-in, opportunities, and reporting.

Word Add-in for Proposal Writing
VisibleThread analysis, Visi, and your proposal outline now live inside Word, on the document your team is already writing in, instead of a copy uploaded to the web app. Fast start mode lets a writer begin immediately without linking to a workspace item first, and link it later. Readability and language analysis run on the live document, with rephrase and simplify suggestions applied directly into the text. Visi’s Creator mode drafts inline, with source citations you can open and download.
Proposal Outline, rebuilt around traceability
The old outline gave you a structure but no evidence behind it, no practical way for a reviewer to judge whether it was right. Generation now detects the document type first, then classifies each paragraph by requirement type before building the outline. A trace indicator shows which sections carry traced requirements, and the redesigned Coverage tab gives reverse traceability, from a single requirement to every section that answers it. Section ownership and status cascade down to sub-sections, so a capture lead can see who owns a given section and where it stands without having to ask.

Capture pipeline: Kanban boards and Stage Gates
Tracked opportunities and proposals now run on the same Kanban board, with configurable stages and drag-and-drop moves. Between every stage sits a gate: soft gates prompt on a move but allow it, with a note if skipped; hard gates block the move until the required questions are answered. Every crossing is recorded as audit history. No card moves quietly.

Dashboards and reporting
Two new dashboards give BD and proposal teams a live view of the numbers: pipeline value by customer, pipeline funnel, and best-fit spread for capture; total value by stage, section status, and assignment for proposals. Usage Stats moved into the primary navigation, with a full breakdown by area and by user, filterable and exportable to CSV. Collections also picked up SharePoint grounding this month, point one at a SharePoint library and it re-indexes automatically when those files update. A quieter update followed a week later, mostly fixes, to keep it all steady under real use.

Visi got a rework on one of the most repetitive jobs in GovCon: answering RFIs and security questionnaires. The old way was open the questionnaire, open your last three good responses, and start copying, find, copy, paste, repeat forty times, two to three days per response.
The new way starts with a Collection: your approved past responses, pulled live from SharePoint, current by definition. Attach the questionnaire as it arrived, point Visi at the Collection, and it asks the right questions first, how detailed each answer should be, table or plain question and answer, executive or technical audience, before it writes a word. Every answer comes back cited to source. Click the citation and see the exact paragraph it was drawn from.
You still read every answer and validate every citation, that part of the job doesn’t go away. What changes is where you start: ten minutes drafted and cited, instead of two to three days of find and replace.
