Visi
AI AssistantVisi is VisibleThread's AI assistant, built for the accuracy federal work demands. It grounds every answer in your own content, asks when a prompt is vague, and works right inside Word, so you get output you can trust, not output you have to fact-check.
Before I draft, a couple of quick questions so this lands right:
15+ years in sensitive, high-stakes bids. Now with AI doing the jobs AI is actually good at.
Most AI tools treat every word in your documents the same. The out-of-date capability statement from three years ago gets the same weight as the section you approved last week. They generate fast, they generate confidently, and they leave you to work out whether what came back is actually true.
Visi is built on the opposite instinct. Deterministic logic for the jobs that demand 100% accuracy. Generative AI for the jobs where it genuinely helps. And where Visi does generate, it grounds every answer in the content you've approved and asks a question when your intent isn't clear, rather than guessing and handing you something plausible. Rules where you need proof. AI where you need a head start.
"You need rules to satisfy the need in many use cases for 100% accuracy and 100% repeatability. AI is always predictive and it's variable. If I do it today it'll be different from tomorrow."
It asks first
Send a broad prompt, and in the middle of a busy proposal cycle most prompts are broad, and Visi doesn't guess. It asks how detailed you need the response, what format works best, who the audience is. Then it searches your content and returns something grounded and on-target. It sounds like a small change. It's the difference between an answer you use and an answer you refine three times before it's useful. And when your prompt is already specific, Visi skips straight to generating, it intervenes when it matters, not when it doesn't.
Grounded in your content, not thin air
Visi doesn't write from the open internet or the model's imagination. It writes from your collections, curated sets of your best content: your strongest past performance, your current technical specs, your approved case studies. When Visi asks its clarifying questions first, it tightens the focus before it even begins searching, so the output is grounded in the right content from the very start. Every answer comes back with citations tracing each claim to its source, so you verify rather than trust.
Collections are how you curate that content. See Collections & SharePoint Integration for how they're built and kept current.
Our team holds an active Top Secret facility clearance2 and has delivered three comparable IDIQ efforts since 20235.
Get off the blank page with prompt libraries
The hardest part of using AI well is knowing how to start. A shared prompt library gives your whole team curated, role-relevant prompts right inside the tool, a strong risk-review prompt for the BD phase, a capabilities-overview prompt for proposals, quality-controlled and available at the right stage, instead of a running Word doc of prompts on someone's desktop. Everyone starts from a good prompt, so everyone gets a good result.
Research an opportunity in minutes
Point Visi at a solicitation and your collections, and it does the heavy lifting of capture research: risk profiles, competitive SWOTs, capability match-ups, executive summaries. Ask for a competitor analysis and get a structured picture of their experience, strengths, and exposure, grounded in real content and cited. It's a research analyst that works at the speed of a prompt and never invents a source.
Write where you already write
Visi lives inside Microsoft Word as an add-in, not just in the VisibleThread editor. Your writers open the document they were always going to write in, sign in, and Visi is right there: prompts, grounding, and scoring in place, no copy-pasting between tools, no new editor to learn. Draft a section from a collection, refine it, and it syncs back automatically. For teams that co-edit through SharePoint, the add-in supports that too. Visi meets your writers where they are.
Our team is responsible for providing all necessary materials, labor, and equipment incidental to performance.

Keep it clear with readability scoring
Generating content is only half the job, it has to be readable. Visi's scoring runs readability, sentence length, passive voice, and watchword checks on what you write, much of it deterministic rather than AI, so it's reliable and repeatable. Tighten an executive summary to a grade 10 to 12 reading level so it's easy on an evaluator, and catch the weasel words, "world class," "state of the art," before they weaken your case. The AI gives you the head start; the rules make sure it holds up.
Our world class, state of the art platform delivers.
