(U.S. Government contracting) An independent administrative tribunal that hears and decides appeals from Contracting Officers’ Final Decisions arising under the Contract Disputes Act (CDA) on contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD) and certain other defence-related agencies. The ASBCA is one of the two principal federal boards of contract appeals, alongside the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals (CBCA).
