Conflicts Assessment

A structured review to identify and manage conflicts of interest that could affect the fairness of a procurement.

A structured review conducted to identify, evaluate, and manage any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that could affect the fairness, integrity, or impartiality of a procurement process. A conflicts assessment typically considers the interests and relationships of procurement staff, evaluators, advisers, and suppliers to determine whether any conflict exists and whether mitigation measures are required. These measures may include declarations of interest, recusals, information barriers, or other governance controls. Conducting a conflicts assessment helps protect the integrity of procurement decisions, ensure equal treatment of suppliers, and support compliance with applicable procurement legislation and organisational policies.
