A formal notice published by a contracting authority announcing its intention to award a public contract to the successful supplier. Under the UK Procurement Act 2023, a Contract Award Notice must be published before entering into the contract for above-threshold competitive procurements and awards made without competition, and may trigger the optional standstill period. The notice identifies the successful supplier and summarises the procurement outcome.
