Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)

A US contract attachment specifying the reports, manuals, and other data deliverables a contractor must provide during performance.

A contract attachment, typically prepared using DD Form 1423, that specifies the technical reports, drawings, manuals, software documentation, plans, and other data deliverables a contractor must provide during contract performance. Each CDRL identifies the required deliverable, format, submission schedule, distribution, and any applicable Data Item Descriptions (DIDs). Proposal teams should review CDRLs carefully during bid preparation because they define mandatory contractual deliverables that affect technical planning, staffing, pricing, scheduling, and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.
