(U.S. Government contracting) A U.S. federal law establishing the procedures for resolving claims and disputes arising under or relating to covered government contracts. The Act requires contractors to submit qualifying claims to the Contracting Officer for a final decision (with contractor certification required above the statutory threshold) and provides rights of appeal to an agency Board of Contract Appeals or the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (COFC). Note: CDA also means Confidential Disclosure Agreement; the intended meaning should be determined from the context.
