A numbered line item within a U.S. Government contract that identifies a specific deliverable, supply, service, or unit of work, together with its quantity, unit of measure, pricing, funding, and delivery requirements. CLINs provide the framework for organising contract scope, pricing, invoicing, and performance, and may be further divided into Subcontract Line Item Numbers (SLINs) where additional detail is required. Proposal teams should ensure every CLIN is fully addressed in the technical, management, and pricing volumes to demonstrate compliance with the solicitation and support accurate contract execution.
