Contracts Manager

A professional who manages contractual compliance, risk, and administration across the acquisition lifecycle.

A professional responsible for managing contractual compliance, risk, and administration throughout the acquisition lifecycle. During a pursuit, the Contracts Manager reviews solicitation terms and conditions, interprets Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency-specific clauses, negotiates teaming agreements and subcontracts, identifies contractual risks, and advises capture and proposal teams on compliance requirements. After contract award, the Contracts Manager oversees contract administration activities such as modifications, deliverables, compliance, and customer communications. Unlike a Proposal Manager, who manages the proposal development process, a Contracts Manager focuses on the legal, commercial, and regulatory aspects of the contractual relationship.
