The UK Ministry of Defence’s standard library of numbered contract clauses that may be incorporated by reference into defence contracts. Each DEFCON clause covers a specific contractual requirement (for example, intellectual property, payment terms, quality assurance, or security). DEFCON clauses are broadly comparable to the standard clauses used in the U.S. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) system. Note: In a defence procurement context, DEFCON refers to contractual clauses.
