In U.S. government contracting, contractors may register and identify their DBA in SAM.gov and other procurement systems to ensure their public-facing business name is associated with the correct legal entity. Using a DBA can simplify marketing and customer recognition while maintaining the legal identity required for contract awards, payments, and compliance.
