A formal document inviting suppliers to submit a tender, setting out requirements, instructions, criteria, timetable, and terms.

A formal procurement document inviting suppliers to submit a tender for a specific contract. An ITT sets out the buyer’s requirements, instructions to tenderers, evaluation criteria, timetable, contractual terms, and pricing requirements. It is the standard term used in UK public procurement and is broadly equivalent to a Request for Proposal (RFP) in other jurisdictions.
