An office within the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB) that provides government-wide leadership and policy for federal procurement. The Office of Federal Procurement Policy (OFPP) develops acquisition policies, promotes best practices, improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the federal acquisition system, and coordinates procurement initiatives across executive agencies. OFPP works closely with agencies to strengthen the federal acquisition workforce, encourage innovation, improve competition, and increase the use of commercial products and services. Its policies influence the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other government-wide procurement guidance.
