Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business (PSIB)

A Government of Canada programme reserving certain contracts for eligible Indigenous businesses to boost their federal participation.

A Government of Canada procurement program that promotes Indigenous participation in federal contracting by setting aside designated procurement opportunities for eligible Indigenous businesses. To qualify, businesses generally must be at least 51% owned and controlled by Indigenous peoples and meet the program’s eligibility requirements. PSIB supports the Government of Canada’s commitment to increase Indigenous economic participation and contributes to the federal target of awarding at least 5% of the total value of federal contracts to Indigenous businesses. The program helps create greater access to government procurement opportunities while supporting Indigenous economic development and business growth.
