(U.S. Government contracting) A U.S. federal law that implements the United States’ obligations under specified international trade agreements by waiving Buy American Act (BAA) domestic preference requirements for eligible products and services from designated countries when procurements exceed applicable dollar thresholds. The TAA determines which foreign-made products are eligible for acquisition under covered federal procurements.
