VT Docs 6.0 is more than just an update

It’s a significant leap forward in document analysis and management. With its user-friendly interface, enhanced functionality, and streamlined workflows, VT Docs 6.0 is set to revolutionize how you interact with your documents.

To fully understand these new features, our CEO Fergal McGovern hosted a webinar showcasing all these features. You can watch the webinar for free here, and gain crucial insights into how these innovations can streamline your document analysis processes.

Enhanced Home and Summary Screens

VT Docs 6.0 brings a more streamlined and user-friendly interface. The Home and Summary screens are redesigned for ease of navigation. Starting your documentation analysis is now simpler, enhancing the overall user experience.

Unified Concept Tracking and Quality Analysis

The new “dictionary search” feature in VT Docs 6.0 is a game-changer. It merges concept tracking with quality analysis. This integration makes managing dictionaries easier. It also speeds up the identification of predefined terms in documents. As a result, you gain quicker insights into document language and content. This will make it easier to use Dictionaries and clear up some of the fuzziness around when to use Quality vs Concept Dictionaries as we can see from the poll conducted in the live webinar.

Revamped Dictionaries

Significant improvements mark the dictionaries in VT Docs 6.0. The new dictionary home screen boosts visibility and tracking. It lets users monitor usage patterns and see who is creating and using dictionaries. The interface for dictionary creation and editing is now more streamlined. It supports vibrant colors for term customization. Advanced features include case-sensitive searching, wildcards, and regular expression pattern matching. As you can see below, from the poll we conducted in our release deep dive webinar, this was a requested feature by our users.

Drag-and-Drop Functionality

VT Docs 6.0 now features a drag-and-drop functionality. This much-requested feature simplifies importing and managing documents.

Annotated Acronym Reports

The latest version introduces an annotated document option for acronym reports. This feature allows users to edit acronyms directly within Word documents. It increases both efficiency and convenience.

Terminology Changes

VT Docs 6.0 brings two key terminology changes for better intuitiveness and user-friendliness. The “compliance matrix” is now known as “simple shred.” The “responsibility matrix” has been renamed “category shred.” These changes aim to make the software more accessible, especially for new users.

Enhanced Preference Options

VT Docs 6.0 offers improved preference options for formatting. These enhancements apply to both simple and category shreds. Users can now customize the display of reference numbers. They can add gridlines and enable text wrapping in tables. There’s also an option to bold terms in dictionaries.
